Tennessee Professional Development Tracking System
The Tennessee Adult Education Professional Development Tracking System allows practitioners to document their professional development experiences and accumulate professional development hours. This system is designed to assist practitioners in meeting career goals as well as strengthen the effectiveness of adult education across the state.
To Ensure Your Professional Development Hours are Recorded:
- Register for & attend an approved Adult Eduation Professional Development event. The Division of Adult Education sponsors a number of approved events each fiscal year for instructors. You can register for these events online, or via faxed Registration Form.
- Be sure to sign in at each session attended, as well as at the registration desk. Your hours will be recorded from the sign in sheets by Center for Literacy Studies staff.
To obtain a Transcript, or for questions about a Transcript or recorded hours, contact Jonathan Kelly at the Center for Literacy Studies vial e-mail or call toll free 877-340-0546. Be sure to include contact information, and the dates for your transcript. If, after corresponding with the Center for Literacy Studies, you still have questions regarding your professional development record, contact Hope Lancaster at the Division of Adult Education.
To use Adult Education PD Hours for Renewal Of Teacher's License: Practitioners should obtain a current transcript for the appropriate period, print this Letter from the Tennessee State Department of Education, and consult with their LEA evaluator for approval.
