MEMORANDUM

TO: Adult Education Supervisors

RE: Program Review

The Program Review has been changed to include a self-evaluation using the revised Tennessee Program Quality Indicators (PQI) along with some other changes which will be a part of the total evaluation. The Program Review instrument, revised PQI and the NRS guidelines can be found at AE Online, http://aeonline.coe.utk.edu/. In order to get a good overview of the program performance, a number of records will be reviewed, including the PQI (with documentation), financial records, student files, as well as other areas. These on-site visits provide an objective overview of how the program is performing.

Objectives:

To assist in compliance of contract & program assurances.
To determine if the contract's scope of services are being implemented.
Analyze component outcomes to determine program efficiency.
Selectively review financial transactions to determine if properly authorized.
To determine if agency is compliant with contract provisions concerning personnel files.
To determine if equipment is being properly identified and utilized.

A notification letter will be sent approximately two weeks in advance, giving the date of the visit.

The following items must be completed prior to the visit:

PQI self evaluation (w/documentation filed by each indicator).

Much of the materials for the review can be pulled together ahead of time. I will want to see evidence & documentation.
